Berlin

  • Playing: with Low Level Nuclear Waste (and i love it)

Hello everyone,

As i am now two months in my PhD, things start to get serious.
Next week i will be poisoning my dear little Arabidopsis plants with low level nuclear waste ressembling that of Chernobyl to see if they survive or not, and if so...how? Working in a high surveillance lab can be rather stressful, but then i'm a stress physiologist, so i should be able to cope..

On a more joyful note, We're (We, that's me and :iconsnowva: :-)) to Berlin in three weeks. It will be cold, it will be very very cold, but it will be beautiful :-). I'm looking forward to revisiting what i consider one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. I went there 6 years ago on a school trip and i'm anxious to see how it has evolved.
Berlin has some brilliant architecture, old and new, and for a 'steel and glass' fanatic like me, it's heaven :p.

You will have noticed that i've put up some more pictures of China. Occasional slowdowns in my posting activity don't mean i'm away, just that life at work and in general is rather busy :-).
